I'm scared...
I watched the State of the Union speech tonight and agreed with a few things that the President said. Is it possible that a radical environmental totalitarian neo-socialist and the President have some kind of common cause? Eerie. The world seems somehow a little less familiar now than it did a few hours ago.

It is scary that you have something in common with the President. I'm glad I didn't watch it. I don't think I could've handled him rocking my world.
I know, MS, but I love it when I can hear politicians saying things like "Science and math education," "alternative energy sources," and "funding for AIDS medications," even if I know they won't act on anything that they say. I'm still waiting for a politician to have the sheer will to say something like, "I'm foregoing my salary this year, because I can live just fine coasting on my gigantic salary from last year, and I'm giving the money to a program to feed starving orphans in the Sudan." If he or she follows that sentence up with a "And if the rest of you Congresspeople had a shred of human decency, you'd do the same thing," then I'll know that I was wrong and that the second coming must have happened.
Or, if he doesn't want to give it to the Sudanese, then he can give it to me. I will take the President's handout.
